What is the JSS

The JSS was launched November 1, 2013 at the close of the first biennial Jamaica Statistics Symposium, held October 31-November 1,2013. The JSS is committed to providing support for valid and reliable data analysis to aid informed decision-making. It fills a local need for additional exposure to training in and appropriate use of statistical methodology.

Services

The Society’s over-arching goal is to become a key player in upholding and advancing high standards of statistical competence by providing consultative and training services to statisticians and data analysts in the private and government sectors as well as other individuals working with data.
